![]() ![]() This guide on Skyrim is an absolute must as the game playing area is huge and loaded with a myriad of challenges from friends and enemies both above ground and underground. I have purchased Prima Guides for most of the first-person shooter games I own as they are so well researched and informative. Prima Guides Get You Running and Gunning Fast It does require a Steam account (free) to download updates and to play (you can also download many of the mods from Steam.) There is talk of a massive multi-player Elder Scrolls online (ESO) game but that is not what this is. This game is amazing I have not played any other Elder Scroll games like Morrowind or Oblivion, so this is all pretty new to me, but I just reached level 2 after about 2 hours of playing. I recommend getting the PC version as there is a mod kit for the PC, and lots of mods available for download for free, such as more realistic lighting, changing the moon to look like the Sky Wars Death Star, new nifty armor you can craft, a player's home that is placed in Skyrim, and additional quests. I bought the game because my friend and his friends highly recommended it and told me there were 80+ hours of playing time. You can play in first person or third person view. You also can get NPC companions who will travel with you and help you fight and retrieve items. The graphics are GREAT, and the world is open, meaning you can go anywhere on the map. The NPCs interact with you and provide the quests. I have a friend whose character has reached level 40. This is great fun, and eventually you get to fight giants and dragons. You pick your race and develop your levels of warrior skills, mage skills, thief skills, etc. You escape a near execution for crossing the border with a bunch of rebels, then grab weapons and armor and food in the confusion of a dragon attack, then you travel the colorful world of Skyrim, surviving amushes and animal attacks, receiving and fulfilling quests, and in the process decide if you want to throw in with the Imperials or the Rebels. This is a great signle-player Sword and Sorcery computer Role-playing game that pits you against the World of Skyrim on your system. A great Soword and Sorcery Role Playing game for a single player ![]()
